Year 8 took to the streets of Seville last Tuesday 13th December, to experience a small sample of what the city has to offer.
Travelling by public transport, the pupils's first stop was the "Museo de Bellas Artes" to see the recently opened exhibition of the works of Gonzalo de Bilbao; a local born artist of the 19th Century. Having worked up an appetite, breakfast was had in the orange tree filled plaza in front of the Gallery before heading off towards the "Archivos de Indias" where a guide was waiting to take them around the building on a fascinating fact-packed tour.
Stomachs were rumbling - time for lunch! Students decided to reward themselves with a a quick visit to Starbucks before taking a stroll through town and along the river bank looking at the wide range of architecture on display: highlights included the Bull Ring, the Torre del Oro, the Triana skyline and the Eiffel's bridge ("Puente de Triana").
Arriving back at the bus station the student arrived back at school just in time for their Christmas play rehearsal!
All agreed it was a great day and are looking forward to exploring their local city further
