ST. GEORGE'S PUPILS SUPPORT LOCAL OLD PEOPLE IN SEVILLA

LOCAL POLICE IN SEVILLE

http://www.stgeorge.es/sites/files/DSC01388.JPG As part of our programme of curricular enhancement, the Local Police came to talk to our pupils about the importance of Road Safety.  Pupils in Nursery, Year 1, Year 3 and Year 6 all enjoiyed the activities which included songs, games, talks and the chance to wear a police helmet!  These activities were all focussed on the very important topic of safety on and around our roads.

YEAR 4 EGYPTIANS CONQUER SEVILLE!

http://www.stgeorge.es/sites/files/DSC01403.JPG Year 4, led by Ms. Wilson, performed a lovely assembly for parents and Key Stage 2 colleagues on Friday 25th November! There were some challenging questions posed by pupils from the audience at the end of the assembly.  For example: "Why did the Egyptians  exist?". The intelligent answer from a Year 4 pupil: "We all remember the Egyptians because there are things  that they invented which we still remember and use today".

Year 2 Growing Project

http://www.stgeorge.es/sites/files/DSC01353_0.JPG In Year 2 we have been looking at “Growing”. We learned all about the parts of a plant. We planted some onion, spinach and lettuce seeds, and measured them as they grew. For art we then created a collage of sunflowers using the style of Vincent Van Gogh. To grow our own plants at home, we designed and made thumb pots in clay for someone in our family and painted them.

OUR FIRST EXPERIENCE IN A REAL FOOTBALL MATCH!

http://www.stgeorge.es/sites/files/DSC01324.JPG Thanks to Sevilla F.C, the local town hall and the Sevillla  F.C. supporters club from Sanlúcar la Mayor, 43 St. George's pupils were invited to watch last's week football match Sevilla F.C. - Athlectics Bilbao  at the Estadio Sánchez Pijuan.  For many it was their first experience of a professional football game.  Everyone really enjoyed this special trip.
