YEAR 7 IN MATHS
In Maths lessons Year 7 made their own playing cards and played the game “higher or lower” in able to learn about probability. Next week we will look at how the probabilities are different in British and Spanish playing cards. |

YEAR 6 HAVE BEEN LEARNING ABOUT WORLD WAR TWO Year six have been learning all about World War Two. We discovered that, during World War Two, people in Britain were very frightened of gas attacks so we all made our own gas masks to carry around with us. YEAR 5 IN MATHS
Pupils had to use their mini clocks to tell the time as a class before being split into groups to challenge themselves. One group was practising 5 minute intervals, another group was working to 1 minute intervals and the third group was converting analogue to digital using word problems. |

YEAR 5 IN LITERACY
Year 5 pupils had to show their understanding of their book by explaining what the book was about to their partner and discuss the target audience for the book. |

HOMEWORK AUDIT Study habits and routines form an important part of a pupil’s personal development. Homework is one aspect of that development. With the aim of continuing to improve as a school and to offer the best educational experience for our pupils, the School will carry out a ‘Homework Audit’ from Reception to Year 9 for a week, starting on Monday 18 February. YEAR 5: SPANISH LANGUAGE
Pupils in Year 5 are working on expanding their Spanish vocabulary every day. They are learning how to form adjectives with different suffixes and they have also discovered other adjectives from their own ideas during “brain storming”. At the same time they are improving their handwriting skills. |
