Visit from Mr Javier Nuñez
As part of our continuing programme of careers advice, Year 12 and 13 students received a visit from Mr Javier Nuñez on the 25th November. He talked about his profession and how, after completing his studies of Business Science, he worked as an advisor to multi-national companies.
One year ago, he created and directed a company dedicated to the manufacture and importation of accessories for medical equipment. The manufacturing of these products is done within a Chinese framework and the products are sold to different countries in Europe, Africa and Latin America.
We also talked about the situation in China at this time; how it is becoming the “factory of the world”, the opportunities that it offers and how we are capable of manufacturing in one country, controlling this manufacturing and selling the merchandise in another country, using new technologies and existing international mechanisms.
