News from the Educational Psychology Department

At the beginning of November, all Year 4 parents received the results of the educational assessments which had been carried out this term. These assessments evaluate the student´s capacity to acquire the skills and knowledge taught in the School. The teachers now have the information and together with this information, we are working to improve the performance of our students.
For the Year 11 students, we have just finished an evaluation of their professional preferences. On Friday 18th the students took their results home to discuss them with their parents. The principal objective of this activity is for the students to see which group of studies /professions interests them the most in order to choose the appropriate A Level subjects and to help them decide what they would like to do for their work experience in June.
In December, Year 9 will be assessed. This is the beginning of an extensive process of guidance and support that we are carrying out and one of which we will keep you informed.
