Dear Parents,
St.George´s is a young school, founded in September 2000. Like the best new projects, it is characterised by enthusiasm, a willingness to change and improve, and ambition. We want a school which has its own identity and offers high quality in every aspect of its work.
At the same time, St. George´s wants to build on the strong foundations laid by British education in Spain. The curriculum is based on the British National Curriculum, taught in English by fully qualified staff, with two compulsory subjects taught in Spanish. There is a wide range of subjects available for examination study and pupils are well prepared for university in the United Kingdom, Spain or elsewhere.
The strength of a school lies mainly in its teaching. We have a talented and experienced staff and academic standards are high. We pay close attention to the needs of each individual child and endeavour to get the best out of everyone.
We want our school to be more than just a teaching institution. We regularly invite visitors, including professional writers, to give talks or work with the children and there are frequent excursions. After school there is an extensive range of extra curricular activities and we have a very popular music school.
St. George´s has its own special atmosphere. Pupils are happy and relaxed but serious about their studies, benefitting from a kind of disciplined relaxation. If you are considering sending your child to the school, come and see us at work.
